INDIAN RAILWAYS TECHNICAL SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION

 

THE MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS OF IRTSA ARE AS UNDER

  

1.                Reduction in number of supervisory grade from 6 to 4 in 3rd CPC.

2.                Honorarium to JEs, Mistries for payment of boxing of wages.

3.                Higher grade of Rs. 840-1200 through 3rd, CPC and 2375-3500 through 4th CPC.

4.                For the first time bringing the entire cadre of technical supervisors under one cadre by CRC, 1984 for cadre restructuring.

5.                Raising of SSE posts from 3% (Workshop) & 1.5% (Open Line) to 10% in 1984, 17% in 1993 and at present 18% to 21% and further struggle is on for 30% in highest grade.

6.                Raising SE post from 12% to 28%.

7.                Hurt on duty & hospital leave to apprentices/trainees.

8.                Counting of apprentice period for all benefits.

9.                Reduction of training of JEs to 18 months.

10.           Grant of special pay to all PCO staff & supervisors.

11.           Revision of rates of Incentive bonus for all supervisors (in 1968, 1975, 1990 & 1998).

12.           Change of designation of technical supervisors as engineers & mistries & supervisors.

13.           Stipend equal to pay during apprenticeship.

14.           Grant of special PCO allowance to all PCO staff lecturers & instructors.

15.           Won the Group "B" case in CAT for Sr. Tech supervisors.

16.           PLB for all technical supervisors irrespective of their pay limit.

17.           Raising SSE pay scale to Rs. 7450-11500 instead of Rs. 7000-11500 recommended by 5th CPC

18.           Grant of scale of Rs. 7450-11500 to Drawing & Design staff.

19.           Upgrading of all mistries to JE-ll.

20.           Re-designation of Drawing & Design staff as Engineers.
